4th Sunday of Advent & Christmas 2023

This year, we swiftly move from the reflective moments of the Fourth Sunday of Advent to the joyous celebration of Christmas. The preparation of Advent leads us to rejoice in the birth of a child, a symbol of hope and resilience in the humble stable where Mary and Joseph trusted in God’s plan.

Resilience is a much-needed virtue in our world, grappling with daily challenges such as climate change and conflicts in Gaza, Ukraine, and Yemen. Additionally, we witness the plight of migrants risking their lives for a better future alongside concerns of social deprivation and the widening gap between the haves and have-nots.

This Advent, we focused on rediscovering our individual spaces, where we are accountable and responsible. Let this Christmas joy radiate into our personal spheres, connecting us with God through the miraculous birth of His Son and the inner resilience of Mary & Joseph.

I wish you a blessed Christmas.
