On this solemn feast of Corpus Christi, we celebrate the profound mystery of the Eucharist, the Most Holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the incredible depth of God’s love for us. Jesus, out of his boundless compassion, instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist during the Last Supper. In the Eucharist, we encounter the living Christ, present to us uniquely and intimately. As we receive the consecrated host, we are united with him in a profound communion—a union of our souls with the very source of life and love. Through this mystical encounter, we are nourished, strengthened, and transformed. For us as Catholics, the Eucharist is not a mere symbol or representation; it is the real and substantial presence of Jesus Christ, given to us as spiritual food for our faith journey.
