Welcome Pope Leo XIV

A historic moment in the life of the Church as we welcome Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope. Although a native of the United States, he spent years serving as a missionary priest and teacher in Peru and has dual citizenship. He led the Augustinian Order globally and was later appointed by Pope Francis as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops. He brings a deep knowledge and understanding of the global Church and speaks five languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. These experiences have shaped him well for this moment, as he leads us forward in faith and mission.
